What's awesome is that she raised four beautiful children as a single mother and helped rear three grandchildren. To this day when the seven of us talk and reminisce its always filled with laughter and good memories of her. I can't imagine families that don't experience the same lasting touches of those who have passed. My Nana was the head of our household and the gifts that she left behind remain present in our daily life.
I have so many fond memories of her. From playing cards and badminton, to watching soap operas and lifetime. Sitting on the back deck with her just chatting are times that I will forever hold dear. Thinking about every Sunday when she would come over after church to tell us about the service while modeling her outfit. She was so stylish. My Nana opened her heart to my friends, my cousins friends, my moms friends, my aunts friends and my uncles friends. She had such a forgiving heart and never ever held on to a grudge. She was absolutely the best!!! Ohhhh how I miss her!!!
With Mothers Day tomorrow, I sit here crying tears of joy for having had the pure pleasure of being able to give her a card and tell her I love her for 34 years. What a blessing! So, although she's not with us in the physical she's with me and my family always. Every day I think about her. Everyday I look at her picture and I feel love. Everyday, I will relish in the memories of who she was and what she was to our family.
I Love You Nana, Happy Mothers Day and continue to Rest In Peace!!!
