Filled with operatic plot twist, salacious rendezvous and heart renching scenes, I was all in from day one. The actors on the show seem very dedicated to their craft and in cultivating believable characters that reeled me in on day one. I couldn't wait until the next week to discover "whahahappened". I'm really loving it. Most of the actors I have never seen before so my expectations were low, but maybe Mr. Perry has discovered the key to the success of the show. When you tune into a show with a high profile actor, you can't help but think about their prior roles and how they made you feel. This can often times lead to disaster if the show isn't quite right. Thankfully, none of that can be said about this offering. I became an immediate fan of Joel Rush, Aiden Turner (fan since AMC) and Edwina Findley Dickerson (who's character I relate the most too). I send my kuddos to all!
I just have one suggestion, maybe promote it better. I had no idea the show had returned until I saw that the second episode was coming up while watching the commercials during Iyanla's Karreuche interview. These actors, Tyler, Oprah, whoever needs to be on some talk shows discussing this season. There are so many daytime shows I'm sure willing to have them on the couch. I mean I don't watch them all, but I haven't seen anything remotely close to promotion for this show.
Gotta go, Season 2 Episode 1 is on...
